Dokdo is a small island located in the East Sea of Korea, and is a territory that is clearly governed by the Republic of Korea historically, geographically, and under international law.

Dokdo is located in the northern part of Ulleung-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and 22 people currently reside there.

Dokdo consists of two large islands, Dongdo and Seodo, and is designated as Natural Monument No. 336 for protection as an island with great academic value in natural science.

Dokdo is famous for seafood and special products produced in farming and fishing villages, and the quality and taste of seaweed is particularly excellent.

Dokdo is famous for its clean natural environment and beautiful scenery, so it is one of the favorite destinations for tourists.

After World War II, Japan calls it Takeshima and claims it as Japanese territory, but Dokdo is a sovereign territory that is actually governed and managed by the Republic of Korea, historically, geographically, and under international law.
